#TalkingAAC 2020: Online Edition

This year, the #TalkingAAC community will connect using an online format. While we believe in the power of face-to-face learning, we look forward to engaging in an ongoing conversation about AAC.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we register as a district?
Registration needs to be completed as an individual.  Your one time $30 registration fee allows you to participate in all FIVE sessions.

Are SCECHs available for this event?
SCECHs are not available for #TalkingAAC 2020: Online Edition.  Due to the format of this year’s conference and the ability to participate synchronously or asynchronously, SCECHs are not a part of this year’s conference.

Will sessions be recorded for later viewing?
Sessions will be recorded and available for later viewing through the #TalkingAAC.org website.  Participants will be given a password to view these recordings once they are available.  Recordings will be available for a limited time.

Will the extension sessions be just a review of the first session in the strand?
Extension sessions will build on the information from the first session. They will be more interactive and reflective in nature than the initial webinars in each strand.

What is the level of AAC experience recommended for the target audience?
All levels of AAC experience are welcome to #TalkingAAC. We are all here to learn from each other and our presenters. If you have questions, please be sure to use the Q&A feature or the Chat window.

Will sessions be interactive? Can we ask questions?
Day One of each strand (September 14th-Strand 1 & November 16th-Strand 2) will be webinar style.  You may use the Q&A feature or the chat window will be monitored, but you will not be able to unmute yourself for discussion or questions.   Day Two of each strand (December 7th-Strand 1 & February 22-Strand 2) will be meeting style and allow for interaction.

When will the recording of each session be available?

The recordings will be available 1-2 days after each session. You can find the recordings on the “More…” tab at the bottom of the #TalkingAAC website.  A password will be sent to all registrants to access the videos.
